Phobos 29 – large sailing yacht

Customers, especially those chartering yachts, are becoming more and more demanding. So are private yacht owners. They want bigger and better equipped yachts. Dalpol Yacht, in cooperation with Jerzy Pieśniewski, Dr Eng, an experienced constructor, after developing precise objectives for the project, are building such an optimal yacht, designed for inland as well as sea sailing. The interior of Phobos 29 is characteristic for its functional deck and the interiors, as well as excellent nautical qualities.
Phobos 29 – interior It has been confirmed by test cruises during which the yacht exceeded the speed of 7 knots. Dalpol Yacht Yard guarantees precise workmanship and the use of the best available materials and equipment.
The yacht?s crew has all the necessary equipment and hotel accessories at their disposal: spacious bathroom with a chemical toilet or a sea toilet, a washbasin and many lockers on the left side of the boat, and a fully-equipped galley (refrigerator upon request) on the opposite side. Meals prepared in the galley can be consumed at a double folding table, mounted on the centreboard case.

Phobos 29 – technical drawings

 

Phobos 29 sailing yacht is a large and comfortable boat. As many as 8 people can sail on the yacht on a long cruise. Three separate cabins are provided (a mess, a forepeak and an aft cabin). All the cabins feature closets for clothing and shelves for personal belongings and small items.

Sailing on Phobos 29 is a pure pleasure not only because of its excellent nautical qualities and stability but also because of its easy handling. It is achieved thanks to the on-deck equipment for stepping the mast, operating the sheets and halyards from the cockpit.

Phobos 29 represents a new quality in inland sailing: a large, stable yacht with a spacious and comfortable interior and cockpit, which can be sailed like a dinghy.

Standard equipment included in the price of the boat

Hull

  • Polyester-glass laminate ? manufactured manually of woven roving, mats and polyester resins provided by the Ashland company.
  • Reinforced bottom and stem.
  • White hull ? isophthalic, anti-osmosis gel coat by Ashland.
  • Hull panels, of any colour, made of the gel coat by Ashland.

Deck

  • Polyester-glass laminate manufactured with the Airex ?sandwich” technology ? 10 millimetre plate.
  • Integrated anti-slip surface of light grey colour – manufactured of gel coat by Ashland.
  • Additional deck reinforcements  where deck equipment and fittings were mounted.
  • Self draining anchor hatch with lid.
  • 2 cockpit seat lockers, 1 aft seat locker ? lazarette.
  • 50 cm x 50 cm opening front hatch above the bow berth.
  • 30 cm x 50 cm opening hatch in mess room, above the table.
  • 4 Plexiglas windows inserted on superstructure sides.

Interior

  • All joinery work in plywood, finishing elements made of wood (mahogany, oak, ash tree or other tree on the yacht owner?s request ).
  • Locked bow cabin ? double berth, several pigeon lockers, wardrobe, lockers under berth.
  • Locked aft cabin ? double berth, lockers, wardrobe.
  • Berths – with upholstery foam mattress and covered with upholstery cloth
  • Sides covered with carpet lining or decorative plywood.
  • Floor ? teak or mahogany plywood.

Caboosa and mess

  • Copper gas installation, for 2-burner stainless steel stove and the fridge.
  • Mess room ? locked sanitary cabin (marina toilet, washbasin, lockers) ? on the left side.
  • Mess room ? folding double berth (1+1) ? full size ? on the left side.
  • Stable folding table situated on the plywood and wood centreboard case.

Sails

  • 21-m? fully-battened mainsail with lugs, 2 reef-bands by Apollo Sails
  • 14.5-m? or 17-m? foresail, with UV protection, manufactured by Apollo Sails.
  • 2 triple batten pockets.
  • Lazy Jack.

Rigging

  • Mast ? 10.5 m, anodised aluminium profile of 135 mm, with fittings by Trimet.
  • Boom ? 3.85m, anodised aluminium profile of 135 mm, with fittings by Trimet
  • Fixed rigging – shrouds, stay, backstay – stainless steel, overlapped tips, stainless steel lanyards
  • Running rigging ? mainsail halyard, foresail halyard, mainsail tackle, halyard sheets, lazy jack, lift, kicking strap, backstay tackle, mast laying tackle, halyard and counter-halyard of rudder blade.

Installations
